Senior Pass Employability e-portal workshops held at Toxteth Town Hall, including feasibility activities, facilitators, trainers, and Senior learner Participants facilitated by MEH where they were introduced to the E-Portal and complimentary Employability Training projects, training materials (workbook and online portal). After the SENIOR PASS project was introduced, participants spent time talking about their own background in lifelong learning and their understanding of informal and non formal learning and what the benefits are. The E-portal was shown to the group and afterwards discussions took place about the core methodologies demonstrated and what the differences and similarities were compared to their own practices and experiences of engaging with informal and non-formal learning. Participants identified with the methodologies in the different films and the learners at the workshop also found it very interesting to listen to the experiences of the learners across the different partner countries. Participants also reviewed the workbook material and found the exercises very useful in providing practitioners with guidance on how to deliver and validate informal and non-formal learning.
Participants felt that the e-portal method for teaching methodologies for informal learning was very useful in demonstrating different and innovative informal and non-formal learning methods and how to improve their access to employment.
